About

Abbey Rae is a young and unexpected rock and country soul who is known for her powerhouse belting, spunk, and gritty songwriting ability. Southern bred to the bone, Abbey Rae is a pearl in a pistol.

While singing with their Maw-Maw in church, Abbey and her younger sister discovered not only their love for the Lord, but also their love for music. Abbey Rae spent most of her childhood singing with her Grandma in church, performing with local theater companies, and sold-out shows for loving audiences, also known as her parents and sister from her booster seat in the back of her Dad’s Jeep Wrangler.

With a whole lotta grit, spunk, and soul, Abbey Rae is often compared to Wynonna Judd, Gretchen Wilson, and a female Elvis presley. Complete with 80’s rock fan favorites and old school country, Abbey Rae brings her own edge and flair to the music scene through her dynamic live and recorded performances.

Since moving to Nashville, Abbey Rae has performed at the Transatlantic Dialogue Conference in Esch, Luxembourg, opened for Kirk Franklin at “A Night With Kirk Franklin”, and has performed multiple times in Christmas at Belmont, and sings with the gospel/R&B ensemble “Voxology”. She has performed at the Fisher Center and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. While completing her degree at Belmont University, Abbey Rae has found a love for being in the studio and has been on several tracks throughout her time in Nashville.

Brian Nathan, artist and director of “Voxology”, is quoted saying “ Abbey not only displays remarkable singing talent and a passion for the arts but also embodies a beautiful spirit of care and empathy.”. Abbey’s peers describe her as a resilient, loyal, and humble individual.

Abbey Rae can be seen performing in writer’s rounds throughout Nashville! Check out her Instagram and Facebook pages for upcoming performance dates!
